Morro Jable to Santa Cruz de Tenerife Ferry

The Morro Jable (Fuerteventura) to Santa Cruz de Tenerife ferry, operated by Naviera Armas (Armas Trasmediterránea), links the southern tip of Fuerteventura with the capital of Tenerife across the open Atlantic.

A direct crossing

Unlike the long island-hopping tickets in the network, this is a direct route covering roughly 190 km of sea. The crossing takes about 4 hours 10 to 4 hours 25 minutes, making it one of the more useful long-distance connections in the western and central Canaries. It is worth noting that Morro Jable is the port from which Armas fast ferries also serve Gran Canaria, so it functions as a busy southern gateway.

Frequency and ships

• Sailings: around seven per week, rising to about eight per week in the June to September high season.
• Vessels: fast ro-pax ferries such as the Volcán de Taidia, with the Mercedes Pinto also serving the route.
• Departures: typically spread through the day, with early morning and afternoon sailings.
• Vehicles: cars, motorcycles, vans and motorhomes are carried alongside foot passengers.

The ports

The southern Port of Morro Jable sits beside the Jandia resort area and its long golden beaches, a short transfer from the Costa Calma hotels. Arrival is at the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the heart of the island capital, close to the city centre, the Auditorio and onward connections across Tenerife.
