About the KapellskärNaantali crossing

Two sailings a day cross from Kapellskär to Naantali, and both stop at Långnäs on Åland on the way. The morning boat leaves at 10:30 on Mondays and Tuesdays, 10:45 the rest of the week, reaching Långnäs around 15:00 and Naantali at 19:55 or 20:10. The night boat leaves at 21:45 daily, calls at Långnäs at 02:00 and docks at 07:15.

Sweden runs an hour behind Finland and Åland, so the printed times overstate the journey: it is 8 hours 25 minutes to Naantali and only 3½ hours to Långnäs. The Åland call lasts 10 to 15 minutes — long enough to load, not long enough to go ashore.

Both ships here are new: the hybrid Finnsirius and Finncanopus, delivered in 2023, carry about 1,100 passengers each, with cabins running from an 8 m² Economy Twin to a 46 m² Owner's Suite. Check-in opens two hours before departure and closes an hour before. Drivers follow road sign C to the booths; foot passengers follow sign B to the terminal building and are taken out to the ship by shuttle bus.
