About
About Naantali
Naantali is a small harbour 15 km west of Turku on Finland's south-west coast, better known for its wooden old town and Moomin World than for shipping — but it is the Finnish end of Finnlines' Sweden service, and the freight traffic that comes with it.
Three departures a day leave for Kapellskär, each one calling at Långnäs on Åland: 10:00 or 10:45 by day and 22:45 overnight. The full crossing to Sweden takes about 8¾ hours; the Åland leg alone is around five. Finnsirius and Finncanopus, delivered in 2023, work the route.
The port is connected to Turku by Föli bus, and the morning check-in deliberately holds for it. Check-in opens two hours before departure and closes an hour before; foot passengers are processed in the passenger terminal and driven to the ship. Nordic citizens travelling to Sweden from here can identify themselves with a driving licence instead of a passport.
