From its position on the Gulf of Tunis in the Mediterranean Sea, the port connects Tunisia with five destinations in Italy and France. A total of ten routes are operated by four ferry companies: CTN, Corsica Linea, Grandi Navi Veloci, and Grimaldi Lines. The port is located at La Goulette, approximately 10km east of the capital city, Tunis.

Tunis Ferry Routes

Grandi Navi Veloci operates services to Civitavecchia, Genoa, and Palermo. Grimaldi Lines also serves Civitavecchia and Palermo, in addition to running a route to Salerno. The two French connections are both to Marseille, operated separately by Corsica Linea and the Tunisian company CTN (Compagnie Tunisienne de Navigation). CTN also provides a service to Genoa.

The shortest sailings connect Tunis with Palermo in Sicily, taking around 11 hours. Longer crossings to mainland Italy and France, such as those to Genoa or Marseille, can take up to 24 hours. All services are international, linking North Africa directly with continental Europe and Sicily.
