About

About Krilo (Kapetan Luka)

Krilo — officially Kapetan Luka — is one of Croatia's largest private fast-ferry operators, a family firm run by the Tomić family of Krilo Jesenice near Split. Founded as a small cargo carrier back in 1889, it reinvented itself in 2001 with its first high-speed catamaran and now specialises in summer island-hopping along the Dalmatian coast.

Catamarans down the Dalmatian coast

Its sleek "Krilo"-branded catamarans radiate from the Port of Split to the islands and on to Dubrovnik: the flagship line runs Split–Hvar–Korčula–Dubrovnik, with others linking Bol (Brač), Jelsa (Hvar), Vis and Mljet (Pomena), plus seasonal northern-Adriatic calls. These are foot-passenger boats, fast and heavily summer-weighted.

Fleet and fares

The modern fleet of around eight MTU-powered catamarans includes Krilo Eclipse (2001), Krilo Lux (2019) and Krilo Tropic (2022), carrying up to ~440 passengers at speeds over 30 knots. Fares are in euros and route-based, from a few euros for short hops up to around €40 for the full Split–Dubrovnik run.
