About

About Pomena

Pomena takes two arrivals at exactly 10:30, one from Dubrovnik and one from Korčula. They are opposite ends of the same coastal line meeting at this pier: 75 minutes up from Dubrovnik, 35 minutes down from Korčula, and a second pair follows at 15:30 and 15:40.

Krilo runs all four with passenger catamarans, daily from 1 June to 30 September. Fourteen arrivals a week on each leg makes Pomena a place that is easy to reach from either direction and — with no winter entries at all — impossible to reach this way out of season.

The pier serves the western end of Mljet National Park, declared in 1960 around two connected saltwater lakes and the twelfth-century Benedictine monastery on the islet in the larger one. Vehicle access on this part of the island is restricted, which is why the boats here are passenger-only and the walk from the quay is part of the arrangement.
