Ormoc to Ouano Ferry

This crossing connects Ormoc City on the western coast of Leyte with the Ouano Wharf in Mandaue City, part of the Metro Cebu waterfront on Mactan Channel. It is operated by Lite Ferries (Lite Shipping Corporation) as a roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) service, so it moves foot passengers together with cars, motorcycles, buses and cargo trucks between Leyte and Cebu across the Camotes Sea.

Unlike the fast passenger craft that also serve the Cebu–Ormoc corridor in around three hours, this Lite Ferries RoRo is a slower, larger vehicle vessel: the departure from Ormoc is generally an early-morning sailing around 8:00 AM, and the sea passage runs roughly six to seven hours, arriving at Ouano in Mandaue. That makes it best suited to travellers shipping a vehicle or freight, or those who prefer a cheaper, deck-class crossing over the premium fastcraft. Passenger fares are among the lowest on the corridor, broadly starting around ₱300 for standard accommodation and rising for tourist or air-conditioned seating; vehicle rates depend on length and are quoted at the terminal.

Ormoc's port sits close to the city proper and is the main western gateway of Leyte, with jeepney and bus links to Tacloban and the rest of the island. On the Cebu side, the Ouano Wharf in Mandaue is Lite Ferries' own terminal and lies within easy reach of Cebu City and Mactan-Cebu International Airport. As with all inter-island RoRo services, departures can be adjusted or suspended in poor weather, so confirm the day's schedule directly with Lite Ferries, arrive at least an hour ahead, and carry a valid government-issued ID for boarding.
