Tubigon to Ouano Ferry

The Tubigon to Ouano ferry is the Bohol-to-Cebu direction of Lite Ferries' conventional RoRo link between northern Bohol and Metro Cebu. It departs the Tubigon seaport on Bohol's western shore and crosses the Cebu Strait to the Ouano Wharf in Mandaue City, on Hernan Cortes Street, a short drive north of central Cebu. This is the vehicle-friendly alternative to the passenger fastcraft that berth at Cebu City's Pier 3.

Boats sail daily, with two departures from Tubigon — typically around 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM — while the Ouano-bound schedule pairs with return sailings from Mandaue at roughly 12:01 AM and 12:00 PM. The crossing takes about three hours. That is slower than a catamaran, but the appeal of the Ouano run is that it is a roll-on/roll-off vessel: motorcycles, cars, vans and small delivery trucks can drive straight off Bohol and onto Cebu without transferring cargo. For Bohol traders bringing produce or goods to the Cebu markets, and for riders touring between the islands, that door-to-door convenience is the whole point.

The economy passenger fare is around ₱350 one way, keeping it an affordable option; vehicle charges are added separately according to size. Senior citizens, persons with disability and children generally qualify for discounts of up to roughly 20 percent when they present valid identification. Facilities at the Tubigon and Ouano terminals cover the basics — ticket counters, restrooms, a canteen and covered waiting areas. Because vehicles need to be marshalled and loaded, arrive at the Tubigon port at least an hour before departure; boarding usually closes about 30 minutes before sailing, and all passengers must carry a valid government-issued ID to board.
