About the Irakleia – Schoinousa crossing
The Express Skopelitis leaves Irakleia at 15.40 and is tied up at Schoinousa by 15.50. Ten minutes, six days a week — Monday through Saturday, with no Sunday sailing.
A leg, not a journey
This crossing is the third call of an afternoon run that starts in Naxos at 14.00 and works outward through the group. Nobody boards at Irakleia purely to reach Schoinousa and stop there; almost everyone aboard is continuing to Koufonisi or Donousa, or came down from Naxos in the first place. The ship is alongside at each island for about ten minutes, which is roughly what the crossing itself takes.
Coming back
The return runs the following morning, and its time depends on where the ship overnighted. If she stopped at Koufonisi, Schoinousa is called at 08.55 and Irakleia at 09.15. If she went on to Donousa, the same calls fall at 11.10 and 11.30. Either way there is one crossing per direction per day; a same-day return between these two islands is not on the timetable.
Which schedule this is
The 15.40 departure appears in both published editions on file — 1 November 2025 to 7 June 2026 and 14 September to 31 October 2026 — at the same minute. Small Cyclades Lines issues a separate high-season timetable for the summer months, so these times should not be assumed for July or August.
