About the Bari – Cephalonia crossing
A handful of sailings each month carry on past Corfu and Igoumenitsa to Sami on Cephalonia — the longest run in Ventouris' network and the only scheduled link between Italy and the southern Ionian islands.
Departure from Bari is at 20:00 on Mondays, from 13 July to the first week of September. That is the whole service — one sailing a week, and nothing at all outside those eight weeks.
Fares are higher than the Corfu and Igoumenitsa legs, as the distance suggests — deck passage €70 in low season, €90 mid and €100 high; a seat €80–110; cabins from €135; a car €80–125. Arrival times are not published on this route, only departures, and Greece runs an hour ahead of Italy. Sami sits on Cephalonia's east coast, half an hour from Argostoli.
