About the Naha (Okinawa) – Motobu crossing
A Saturdays-only service, and the shorter of the two Kumejima Ocean Jet lines: Naha to Motobu in 65 minutes, leaving at 08:30 and arriving 09:35.
One sailing a week, and it exists because Motobu is the gateway to the north of Okinawa — the Churaumi Aquarium, the Motobu peninsula and the boats onward to Ie island. By road the same trip is around two hours from Naha; by hydrofoil it is just over one, and it avoids Route 58 entirely.
The boat lands at Toguchi (渡久地港). Departure is from the Naha Wharf terminal (那覇ふ頭), not Tomari. Be at the port half an hour before sailing and complete check-in 15 minutes ahead. The same vessel turns straight round for the 10:10 back to Naha, then sails to Kumejima in the afternoon.
