Sand hurtigbåtkai is the express-boat quay in the village of Sand, the administrative and commercial centre of Suldal municipality in the Ryfylke district of Rogaland. Sand sits at the mouth of the Sandsfjorden, where the Suldalslågen — one of Norway's most storied Atlantic salmon rivers, running 22 km down from the lake Suldalsvatnet — empties into the fjord. That salmon heritage, dating back centuries, is the thing Sand is known for, alongside its cluster of preserved white-painted wooden houses.

The quay is served by the Kolumbus hurtigbåt (express boat) linking Stavanger with Sauda year-round. It is a passenger-only service; the fast boats carry no cars, so foot passengers, cyclists and luggage only. On the inner-fjord section the boat connects Sand with Hebnes, Jelsa, Ropeid, Marvik and, at the far end, Sauda, while the ordinary express boat reaches Sand from Stavanger in roughly two hours. At Ropeid the same network ties into the Kolumbus bus line 150 toward Sauda and Ølen, so Sand is well plugged into both the sea and road routes of northern Ryfylke.

Practically, the quay is right in the village, an easy arrival: it is only about a 100-metre walk from the landing to the Ryfylke Fjordhotell & BaseCamp, and the shops, cafés and services of the municipal centre are close at hand — genuinely useful, since Sand is the only real service town for a wide radius up the fjord. Sand has long functioned as a hub for Suldal, so this is a more substantial stop than the tiny quays further out, though it is still a compact rural port rather than a city terminal.

Tickets are handled through Kolumbus (app or on board), and departures follow the express-boat timetable with a limited number of daily sailings each way, so check current times before travelling. If your trip involves salmon fishing on the Suldalslågen, exploring the Sandsfjorden, or using Sand as a base to reach the rest of Ryfylke, the hurtigbåtkai is the natural entry point.
