About Donousa
Donousa is the easternmost of the Cyclades along with Amorgos, lying east of Naxos and north of Amorgos. It covers just 13 square kilometres and has fewer than 170 permanent residents.
The port
Stavros is both the main village and the harbour — a small settlement where the ferry berth, the handful of tavernas and most of the island's beds sit within a few minutes' walk of each other. There is no separate port town to travel from.
Getting here
The island is served by the Express Skopelitis on the Small Cyclades line between Naxos and Amorgos, calling six times a week. Tickets and sailing times come from the local agent, Sigalas Travel — the company publishes no timetable online.
