About

About Strömma

Strömma is one of Europe's largest sightseeing and experience companies, running boats — and buses — across some seventeen destinations in around half a dozen countries, from its home in Sweden. Its roots reach back to the 19th-century steamer trade, and today it carries millions of visitors a year on canal cruises, archipelago boats and city tours.

Where Strömma sails

In Stockholm its Cinderella boats run out to the archipelago islands of Vaxholm, Grinda, Gällnö and Sandhamn, mixing scheduled traffic with sightseeing. In Gothenburg it operates the famous low-slung Paddan canal tours and Älvsnabben river boats. Beyond Sweden it runs sightseeing boats in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Bergen, Amsterdam and other European cities, alongside hop-on-hop-off buses and dining cruises.

Fleet and heritage

Strömma keeps a large mixed fleet of modern tour boats and preserved classic Swedish steamships, such as the heritage steamer Gustafsberg VII in Stockholm. Across its destinations it blends everyday scheduled crossings with guided experiences — canal tours, dinner cruises and seasonal excursions. Fares are in local currencies, booked online.
