Ferries from Lejontrappan

Lejontrappan is a Paddan boat stop in central Göteborg, with 18 sailings between 11:00 and 17:15, fifteen minutes to Kungsportsplatsen and Lilla Bommen. The name refers to the lion staircase beside the canal. Strömma runs these boats as a sightseeing service rather than as public transport, so they are not covered by Västtrafik tickets — a distinction worth knowing, since the city's ordinary ferries leave from quays not far away. Lilla Bommen at the other end of the route is beside the Göteborg opera house and the barque Viking, moored permanently as a hotel. Kungsportsplatsen is the main departure quay, in the square at the head of the canal.
