About
About Golden Star Ferries
Golden Star Ferries is a family-run Greek ferry company serving the Cyclades from the Attica port of Rafina. Founded in 2011 by the Stephanou family of Andros, it uses Rafina as its mainland gateway — the shorter crossing to the northern Cyclades.
Rafina to the Cyclades
Its ships link Rafina with Andros, Tinos and Mykonos, extending on to Paros, Naxos, Ios and Santorini, mixing conventional ferries with high-speed craft. For the islands of the northern and central Cyclades, Golden Star is a familiar sight on the Rafina route.
Fleet and fares
The fleet includes the conventional ferries Superferry and Andros Queen and the high-speed Super Express, with two further ships due in 2026. Fares are in euros and booked through the operator's site; the company began operations with the ex–Blue Star Superferry II, run for about a decade.
