About the Steenplein – Kruibeke crossing
The south line's first leg: seventeen minutes from Steenplein in the centre of Antwerp down to Kruibeke. Thirty-one sailings a day, hourly rather than half-hourly, from 06:00 to 22:00.
Kruibeke is the gateway to the Polders of Kruibeke, the largest tidal flood area in Flanders and a walking and cycling destination in its own right — which is why this leg carries more leisure traffic than the northern legs do.
It is a Zone 1 fare at €4 single, €6 return, €3.50 reduced. Bicycles are carried free, and most passengers bring one: the polder paths start a few minutes from the jetty. De Waterbus boats continue on to Hemiksem.
