Ferries from Kruibeke

Kruibeke is where the Antwerp waterbus stops going upstream. From this landing the run down to Steenplein in the city covers 3.9 nautical miles in 20 minutes, and it is the longest leg the network works on anything like a full timetable — 80 departures a week out, 78 back at 17 minutes.

There is a longer connection on paper. Steenplein to Hemiksem measures 5.4 nautical miles and takes 30 minutes, but it exists only twice, at 06:30 and 07:30 on weekdays. Hemiksem is otherwise reached from here directly: 2.0 nautical miles, 13 minutes outbound and 10 minutes inbound, with 78 and 80 sailings a week.

The service window is narrower than at the city stops. Nothing leaves Kruibeke before 06:17 and the last boat goes at 22:40, against pontoons downstream that start before 05:00. Monday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday are timetabled separately.
