Odiongan to Caticlan Ferry

The Odiongan to Caticlan crossing links Tablas Island, the largest of Romblon province, with the Aklan mainland gateway to Boracay. It is a short inter-island hop across the Sibuyan Sea and the Tablas Strait, and for travellers it is the most direct sea link between Romblon and the Boracay tourism cluster without backtracking to Batangas or Manila.

Operator and vessel

This leg is run by 2GO Travel using a roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) ferry. The RoRo format means the ship carries cars, vans, motorcycles and rolling cargo alongside foot passengers, so self-drive travellers and vehicle owners can bring a vehicle straight onto the car deck. Note that Montenegro Shipping Lines operates neighbouring Romblon links such as Batangas to Odiongan and Caticlan to Roxas (Oriental Mindoro), but the Odiongan to Caticlan leg itself is a 2GO service.

Crossing time and frequency

The sailing takes roughly 3 hours dock to dock. Service is not daily: 2GO runs it about twice a week, typically on Thursday and Saturday, with a morning departure from Odiongan (around 8:00 AM) arriving into Caticlan late morning. Because frequency is limited, seats and vehicle slots should be booked ahead, especially in peak Boracay season.

• Odiongan Port on Tablas Island, Romblon — the main commercial pier for western Tablas.
• Caticlan Jetty Port in Malay, Aklan — the same jetty used for the short bangka hop across to Boracay Island.

Passenger fares generally fall in the ₱785 to ₱960 range depending on the accommodation class chosen, with the usual discounts for children, senior citizens and persons with disabilities. This route forms part of the wider Batangas–Romblon–Caticlan corridor that stitches the Romblon islands to both Luzon and the Visayas.
