About the Marmari – Rafina crossing
Westbound from Marmari on southern Evia to Rafina in Attica, up to four sailings a day. The 07:00 is the commuter boat — it runs Monday to Saturday and gets people into Athens for the working day; on Sundays the first is 08:00.
Later departures are 10:00 on Mondays and Saturdays, 15:00 or 14:30 midweek depending on the season block, and an evening boat at 18:00 that runs most days. Fridays add a 19:20 and Sundays a 21:15.
Passengers pay €12, a car €27–30, a motorbike €8–11, with half fares for children 5–10, disabled travellers and large families. Marmari is a small harbour town on the Karystos side of Evia; the island's south is quieter than the Chalkida end and this crossing is the main way in.
