About the Lillo – Liefkenshoek crossing
Five minutes across the Scheldt between two points inside the port of Antwerp: Lillo on the right bank, Liefkenshoek on the left. This is Zone 4, the harbour crossing, and it costs €1 single or return.
Thirty-eight sailings a day, from 05:00 to 23:00 — the early start is not for tourists but for shift workers, because there is no other way across the river at this point without a long detour by road.
Lillo is a preserved polder village surrounded by container terminals, one of the odder places on the Belgian coast, and the waterbus stop is at its jetty. Bicycles travel free, and the crossing is part of the cycle route through the docks. De Waterbus runs the same boats on through to the city.
