Larena to Plaridel Ferry

The Larena to Plaridel ferry connects the island of Siquijor in the Central Visayas with Plaridel in Misamis Occidental on the northern coast of Mindanao. It is operated by Lite Ferries (Lite Shipping Corporation) on a roll-on/roll-off vessel that carries passengers along with cars, motorcycles and cargo across the Bohol (Mindanao) Sea. This is the reverse of the Plaridel-to-Larena sailing and is a handy link for travellers island-hopping between the Visayas and Mindanao.

The crossing from Larena, on Siquijor's northern coast, to Plaridel takes about 5 hours (the return leg from Plaridel to Larena is timed at closer to 6 hours). Departures from Larena are in the small hours, typically around 2:00 AM, arriving in Plaridel in the morning, which makes it an efficient overnight repositioning between the two islands.
