About the Ijede/TarzanBadore Jetty (Tarzan) crossing

Badore has more than one landing, and this is not the government ferry terminal. This crossing ends at Badore Jetty, a separate berth from the Badore Ferry Terminal served by the state operator. The two are close together but they are not the same place, and a ticket for one is not a ticket for the other.

Two sailings, six days a week

Departures leave Ijede at 06:30 and 09:00, Monday to Saturday. That is one more service day than the terminal route offers, and the second departure gives a later option that the government service does not list.

Ten minutes across the lagoon

The crossing is 3 nautical miles and takes 10 minutes. Against a road journey from Ikorodu round to Ajah through Lagos traffic, that is not a marginal improvement — it is a different order of journey entirely.

Check which jetty before you travel

Arriving at the wrong Badore landing means a short road transfer at the far end, which on this side of Lagos can undo much of the time the boat saved. Confirm the berth, not just the destination name. The listed plan runs to 21 April 2027.

Vehicles, pets & onboard

  • Passenger water buses
  • Modern jetty terminals
  • Licensed private ferries
  • Life-jacket safety enforcement

Onboard facilities and vehicle, pet and luggage policies vary by operator and vessel; confirm details with the operator before booking.
