The Golfo Aranci to Savona ferry links the northeastern tip of Sardinia's Gallura coast with the Ligurian port of Savona, giving drivers and foot passengers a direct northbound corridor to the Italian mainland and the motorway network towards Turin, Milan and France. The route is operated by Corsica Sardinia Ferries (branded as Corsica Ferries / Sardinia Ferries), the yellow-hulled operator that pioneered fast Tyrrhenian crossings from Golfo Aranci.

This is a seasonal service, running roughly from May through October, when demand for Sardinian holidays peaks. Sailings operate about three times a week rather than daily, so it is important to check the exact 2026 calendar and book early for summer weekends and vehicle space. Crossings are handled by the company's larger cruise-ferries of the Mega Express class, ships built for overnight Tyrrhenian runs with capacity for well over a thousand passengers and hundreds of cars.

The distance from Golfo Aranci to Savona is around 380 km (roughly 205 nautical miles), and the passage is a genuine overnight crossing of about 12 hours — sailings are timetabled to leave in the evening and arrive the following midday, letting you sleep on board and disembark rested. Because of the length, most travellers book a cabin: inside, outside (sea-view) and higher Luxe categories are offered, all with private facilities, alongside cheaper reclining seats and deck passage.
