Cádiz to Arrecife Ferry

The Cádiz to Arrecife ferry is the southbound gateway from mainland Spain to Lanzarote, operated by Naviera Armas (Armas Trasmediterránea). Departing the Andalusian port of Cádiz, the ship crosses roughly 1,000 kilometres of open Atlantic to reach the port of Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote in the eastern Canary Islands. It is one of the longest scheduled ferry crossings in Spanish waters, taking approximately 29 to 31 hours when Lanzarote is the first island served.

Naviera Armas generally runs around two weekly departures from Cádiz toward the Canaries, with the exact day and time varying by season. On many rotations Arrecife is the initial Canarian call before the vessel continues to Las Palmas, Tenerife and, on some services, La Palma, so the Lanzarote leg tends to be the shortest of the mainland-to-Canaries sailings.
