About

About Pensacola Beach - Quietwater

Quietwater on Pensacola Beach is a stop on the Gulf Islands National Seashore ferry, six sailings between 09:00 and 16:00 linking it to Fort Pickens and to downtown Pensacola. The service is seasonal and exists to move visitors around the national seashore without driving: Fort Pickens sits at the western tip of Santa Rosa Island, and the road to it floods and washes out with some regularity. Crossings run about an hour. The National Park Service operates the route, and it does not run through the winter. Tickets cover the whole route rather than a single leg, so a day can be built from all three stops on one fare.
