The days out and the days back do not line up. Datça leaves for Symi on Mondays and Thursdays at 09:30 and on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:00; Symi returns on Wednesdays and Sundays at 15:30 and on Mondays and Thursdays at 17:30.
Read across, and only Monday and Thursday work as a single day out — over at half past nine, back by half past five, about seven hours on the island. Leave on a Tuesday and the first return is Wednesday afternoon; leave on a Friday and the next boat back is Sunday. The catamaran covers 15.1 nautical miles in 45 minutes.
