About
About Turyol
Established in Istanbul in 1986, Turyol is one of Turkey's most experienced maritime transport companies, offering international standard services in the Aegean Sea. Committed to safe, fast, and comfortable travel, Turyol connects the Turkish coast with the Greek islands, serving as a vital link for both foot passengers and those traveling with vehicles. The company's modern fleet and customer-centric operations transport hundreds of thousands of tourists to their destinations each year.
Turyol operates a fleet of eight vessels, with the Catamaran Samos and Fokaia being two prominent examples. The Catamaran Samos is a high-speed passenger-only catamaran, ideal for those seeking the quickest journey to the islands with comfortable, air-conditioned seating. The Fokaia is a classic passenger and vehicle ferry, catering to travelers who wish to bring their car, motorcycle, or caravan, offering spacious vehicle decks and open areas for a scenic journey.
Turyol provides regular ferry services from popular Turkish holiday resorts to the neighboring Greek islands. While its primary route is Ayvalik to Lesvos, the company also operates services from Cesme to Chios and from Kusadasi to Samos. Tickets can be purchased online at turyolonline.com, where vehicle reservations can also be made. After purchase, tickets are sent as a mobile barcode (QR code) for quick, contactless boarding. For inquiries, Turyol's call center can be reached at +90 850 303 10 10. All passengers must have a passport valid for at least six months from the travel date. For stays up to 15 days, Turkish citizens may use the Greek island-specific "Gate Visa" program; for longer stays, a valid Schengen visa is required. Each passenger is allowed one large suitcase and one hand bag. In case of ferry cancellations due to adverse weather or port authority decisions, full refunds are issued, with options to change or open-date tickets.
