Maayo Shipping runs RoRo ferries between Negros Oriental, Cebu and Siquijor — and, unusually, operates its own shipyard alongside the shipping business.

Two frequent crossings

The core routes run every 1½ hours, daily:

• Tampi ↔ Bato — first sailing 04:00, last 23:30
• Sibulan ↔ Liloan — first 04:30, last 22:30

Both are short hops across the Tañon Strait, and the near-round-the-clock span is what makes them useful: this is the crossing people take to reach Cebu City by road from Dumaguete.

Siquijor, on a different rhythm

The Siquijor services run Tuesday to Saturday, once a day, and at hours that reveal their purpose: Larena–Bato at 13:00 (16:00 on Sundays), Tampi–Liloan at 01:00, and Liloan–Larena at 02:00. Those small-hours departures move freight, not tourists.

What it carries

Passengers, cargo and vehicles of every size — the company lists everything from bicycles and chariots to buses, trucks and large trailers.

The name is the promise

Maayo means "good" in Cebuano. Owning the shipyard means maintenance does not depend on a third party's dry-dock schedule — a real advantage where slipway capacity is limited.
