About
About Levante Ferries
Levante Ferries works the Ionian: the short, busy crossings that tie Zakynthos, Cephalonia and Ithaca to the Peloponnese mainland. These are not overnight passages — most are between one and three hours — and the company runs them at high frequency through the summer, up to six times a day on the Zakynthos line.
Four lines, two mainland gates
Kyllini is the main mainland port, with sailings to Zakynthos and to Poros on Cephalonia. Patras is the second, serving Sami on Cephalonia and Pisaetos on Ithaca — and the Sami–Pisaetos hop between the two islands runs several times a day on its own. Cephalonia has two separate Levante harbours: Poros in the south-east for the Kyllini boats, Sami on the east coast for the Patras and Ithaca boats.
The timetable moves with the season
The Zakynthos line runs six times a day from late July to mid-September, drops to four for the second half of September, and shifts its clock again for October. The Cephalonia line follows the same pattern. Nothing here is fixed year-round, so the departure you find in August will not be the one running in October — the operator republishes each block separately.
Fares and fleet
Fares are low by Greek ferry standards: €13.50 one way to Zakynthos, €14.50 to Poros, €15.40 from Patras to Sami or Pisaetos, and just €4.50 for the Sami–Ithaca hop. Children aged 5–10 pay half, under-fives travel free. A car is €38.40 to Zakynthos and €17.00 between Sami and Ithaca, with discounted round-trip vehicle rates outside the 25 March – 15 September peak. The fleet is six ships — Fior di Levante, Mare di Levante, Smyrna di Levante, Contessa di Levante, Andreas Kalvos and Nisos Kefalonia — and the company has taken Shippax and Passenger Line awards for them.
