Compagnie Maritime de Transport de Fret Schedules 2026

This is not a passenger service and never has been. Transport de Fret, based at Pors Kernoc on Île de Batz, moves the island's goods — building materials, shop stock, furniture, removals, anything the passenger launches cannot take — across to Roscoff on the barge François André.

How it works

There is no online booking. Transport is pre-reserved by telephone or email only (+33 2 98 61 75 40), and the request form asks which category you need: a 1 m³ crate, a car, a standard or extended van, a removal lorry, or bulk materials. Phone enquiries are taken Monday to Thursday, 9.00–12.00 and 13.30–16.30, and Friday mornings 9.00–12.00.

The island office

Open Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings 9.00–12.00, Thursday 9.00–12.00 and 13.30–16.30, and closed on Wednesdays — a schedule that tells you plainly how small an operation this is.

Same-day rotations

Most crossings are one-way on a given day, but the company publishes specific dates when a same-day return rotation runs — in 2026 these included 27 July, 25 August and 24 September. If your delivery needs to go out and come back, those are the days to aim for, and they are announced rather than regular.

If you are travelling yourself

You want the passenger launches from Roscoff instead: fifteen minutes, several times a day, every day of the year. The freight link is a public-service arrangement with the Finistère authority — the one part of the Batz connection inside a public contract, while the passenger crossing is not.
