About
About Caremar
Caremar (Campania Regionale Marittima) is the island-lifeline ferry operator of the Bay of Naples, Italy. Founded in Naples in 1975 as part of the state Tirrenia group, it passed to the Campania Region after the group's breakup and was privatised in 2013 to the SNAV/MSC (Aponte) group, though it still runs regional public-service routes.
Capri, Ischia and Procida
From Naples, Pozzuoli and Sorrento, Caremar's boats connect the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida year-round, carrying both islanders and the millions of visitors who cross the bay each year. It runs a dual fleet — slower car ferries alongside fast hydrofoils and catamarans — giving both vehicle transport and quick passenger crossings.
Fares
Fares are in euros and vary by route, by whether you take a car ferry or a hydrofoil, and by resident status — island residents and commuters receive regulated public-service discounts. Tickets are sold through the operator's online shop.
