Alilauro Schedules 2026

Alilauro is a hydrofoil operator in the Bay of Naples, part of Lauro Holding. In our timetable it does one thing none of the other bay operators does: it links Capri directly to Ischia, without going back to the mainland first.

Fifty minutes between the two big islands

Capri to Ischia runs 50 minutes, twice a day, at 10:45 and 17:15. Every other operator here works a hub-and-spoke pattern out of Naples, which means an island-to-island trip normally costs you a return leg to the mainland and a wait. This is the connection that makes a two-island itinerary possible in a single day.

The rest is the classic bay spread

Naples to Ischia takes 60 minutes with departures at 06:50 and 10:50; Naples to Sorrento is 40 minutes; and Sorrento to Capri is 20 — the shortest crossing this operator runs and one of the quickest ways onto Capri from anywhere.

A hydrofoil is a different vehicle from a ferry

These are fast passenger craft, not car ferries. They carry no vehicles, they are noticeably more affected by sea state, and they are cancelled in weather that a conventional ferry would sail through. On the bay that trade-off is the whole choice: roughly half the crossing time, and a meaningfully higher chance of not sailing at all on a rough day.

The 06:50 is the useful one

Of the two Naples–Ischia departures we hold, the early one matters more than it looks. A 06:50 arrival on the island near 07:50 puts you there before the day boats, and on Ischia the difference between arriving at eight and arriving at noon in August is the difference between a beach and a queue.

Seven departures across four routes is not the extent of Alilauro’s network — the company runs a considerably denser summer programme, including services along the Amalfi coast.
