The Valencia to Ibiza ferry connects Spain's third-largest city directly with the island of Ibiza, running year-round across the western Mediterranean. It is a considerably longer passage than the short hop from Dénia further down the coast: the crossing typically takes around 7 hours with Baleària, about 6 hours 45 minutes with Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV), and up to 8 hours 30 minutes with Trasmed (the Acciona-owned successor to the historic Trasmediterranea brand). The length of the crossing means most sailings run overnight. Departures from Valencia are usually in the late evening, around 22:00–22:30 on weekdays, reaching Ibiza in the small hours between roughly 03:30 and 05:15 depending on the operator and vessel. Booking a cabin turns the passage into a night's sleep at sea, though the early-morning arrival is worth planning around. Frequency is strong for a mainland link: the route is active all year with up to three daily crossings in summer across the combined operator schedule — Baleària running around 9 weekly itineraries, Trasmed about 11, and GNV as many as 19 during peak season. Some sailings serve Ibiza town's port while others may call at Sant Antoni, so check your exact port of arrival when booking.

Fares are competitive on this corridor: foot-passenger tickets can start from around €23 on promotional sailings, with vehicle rates from roughly €10 for a motorcycle, €16 for a small car, and higher for vans and motorhomes; cabins are priced separately.
