About the Porto Brandão – Belém crossing
About a nautical mile of water and ten minutes between the south bank at Porto Brandão and Belém. TTSL runs it 21 times a day, every day, 07.40 to 21.40.
The smallest of the network's five corridors
Trafaria, Porto Brandão and Belém together carried 375,000 passengers in 2025 — against 11.2 million on Barreiro and 6.9 million on Cacilhas. It is a local crossing rather than a commuter artery, which is why it runs on the older cacilheiros and small catamarans rather than the 600-seat ships.
What is on the other side
Belém puts you among the monastery, the tower and the museums; Porto Brandão is a small waterfront on the Almada shore with onward TTSL boats to Trafaria and, on weekday mornings, Pedrouços/Algés. Tickets must be validated and kept until you leave the terminal.
