About the Karlshamn – Kastellet crossing

Two day patterns cover the route. Nothing runs in the evening at all, which puts this firmly among the summer excursion services rather than the transport ones.
Kastellet is a circular stone fort built on an islet off Karlshamn in the 1670s to guard the harbour approach, contemporary with the founding of the naval base along the coast at Karlskrona. It never saw serious action. The boat that goes there now is doing what the fort's builders would have found absurd: carrying people out for the afternoon.
