The Cagayan de Oro to Bacolod route connects the main port of Cagayan de Oro on the northern Mindanao coast with Bacolod City on Negros Island, operated by 2GO Travel. Unlike the short inter-island hops elsewhere in the Visayas, this is a long-haul overnight passage: the scheduled sailing time is roughly 20 hours, reflecting that the leg forms part of 2GO's wider Mindanao–Visayas–Manila vessel circuit rather than a quick direct shuttle.

2GO runs this connection on a limited weekly frequency rather than daily. Sailings toward Bacolod have operated on set days (reported departures include mid-week and weekend slots, e.g. around midday), so travellers must plan around the fixed calendar rather than turning up expecting a same-day boat.
