Banago (Bacolod) to Batangas Ferry

The Bacolod to Batangas ferry links the capital of Negros Occidental directly with Batangas Port in southern Luzon, letting travellers and motorists reach the Manila region without the longer Cebu or Manila-bound routings. The crossing is operated by 2GO Travel as a weekly overnight RoRo service.

Ports: a note on Banago vs BREDCO

Bacolod has two sea gateways. Banago Wharf mainly handles fastcraft and vessels to Iloilo and other Visayan ports, while 2GO's Batangas sailings actually use the BREDCO Port at the Reclamation Area in Bacolod City. Travellers heading to Batangas should therefore report to BREDCO Port, not Banago, unless the operator advises otherwise.

Schedule and journey

2GO runs the route roughly once a week, with the Batangas-bound leg commonly departing on a Friday. The passage north across the Visayan and Sibuyan seas to Batangas takes about 25 hours, an overnight-plus voyage rather than a short hop. As a RoRo ship, it carries cars, motorcycles, trucks and cargo alongside foot passengers.
