Balingoan to Jagna Ferry

The Balingoan to Jagna ferry is a roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) crossing that links northern Mindanao with the island province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas. Departures leave from the Port of Balingoan, a small municipal terminal in Misamis Oriental that is better known as the mainland jump-off point for Camiguin. This service is different from the short Balingoan–Benoni hop to Camiguin: it is a longer open-sea sailing north across the Bohol Sea (Mindanao Sea) that arrives directly at Jagna, on Bohol's southeastern coast.

The run is operated by Lite Ferries (Lite Shipping Corporation) on a passenger-and-vehicle RoRo, so cars, motorcycles, vans and cargo trucks are carried alongside foot passengers. Sailings are not daily — the Balingoan departure typically runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, leaving in the mid-afternoon (around 3:00 PM) and reaching Jagna in roughly five hours, an early-evening arrival. Because the schedule is thin and can shift with sea conditions and vessel maintenance, it is worth confirming the sailing day before travelling.

Onboard accommodation is tiered: an open economy deck, a tourist section and an air-conditioned cabin class, with typical passenger fares ranging from about ₱350 for economy to ₱550 for cabin. Discounts of up to 20% apply for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and children. From Jagna, buses and vans connect onward to Tagbilaran City and the Panglao beach resorts, while the vehicle deck makes this a practical way to bring your own transport from Mindanao onto Bohol without backtracking through Cebu.
