About the Argao – Loon crossing
The Argao to Loon crossing is a short-hop roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) route linking southern Cebu with the western coast of Bohol. It is operated by Lite Ferries (Lite Shipping Corporation), one of the largest RoRo operators in the Central Visayas, using vehicle-carrying vessels that let motorists, motorcycle riders and bus passengers cross without transferring cargo.
Route and crossing time
Ferries depart from Taloot Port in Argao, a coastal town about 65 to 70 kilometres south of Cebu City, and sail to Catagbacan Port in Loon, a western Bohol municipality roughly 30 kilometres from Tagbilaran City. The crossing takes approximately two hours, making it one of the quickest of the Cebu to Bohol RoRo links and a popular back-door entry that bypasses the busier Cebu City to Tagbilaran corridor.
