Skäret is served by eight sailings between 10:55 and 17:10, five to fifteen minutes to Ammenäs and Lindesnäs, operated by Uddevalla Skärgårdsbåtar. These boats work the Byfjorden and the Gullmarn inlet around Uddevalla, calling at small quays that have no road access or a very indirect one. The season is short — high summer only — and outside it the quays see no scheduled service at all. Uddevalla itself sits at the head of the fjord, and the boats run out from the town towards the open coast rather than between two banks. Lindesnäs and Ammenäs, the other calls, are landings on the fjord shore reached by footpath rather than by road.
