Ferries from Östersidan färja

The timetable here runs almost entirely in one direction. Lysekil sends 59 boats a week across to Östersidan and Östersidan sends 47 onward to Fiskebäckskil, but the return legs carry two sailings each — a pair of morning movements around 08:00, and nothing else all week.

In practice that means the service works as a chain rather than as two shuttles. Arriving from Lysekil takes 16 minutes; carrying on to Fiskebäckskil takes 3. Going back the way you came is not something the published schedule supports.

Östersidan is on the eastern shore of the Gullmarn fjord opposite Lysekil, in the Bohuslän coastal strip where the road route between the two points runs a long way inland. Västtrafik covers the week in seven day patterns; the first boat arrives at 05:30 and the last onward sailing to Fiskebäckskil leaves at 23:06.
