Ferries from Kyrkesund brygga

Kyrkesund on Tjörn runs to Härön in five minutes, with 65 sailings from 06:20 to 23:20 operated by Västtrafik. Härön is a small Bohuslän island with no cars and a scatter of houses around a natural harbour, and the ferry is its only connection. The crossing runs late into the evening for a population this size because the island has permanent residents rather than only summer visitors. Kyrkesund itself is one of the old fishing villages on Tjörn's western shore. Tjörn is joined to the mainland by bridge, so this crossing is an island-to-island link rather than the archipelago's main connection.
