Ferries from Korsö

Korsö sits on three legs of the circuit: Valö Sandhagen at 7 minutes, Hjärterö at 4 and Kalvö at 4. The Valö sailings run twice a day at 11:56 and 15:43; the other two are single movements, 09:15 in the morning and 16:26 at the end.

Ten sailings a week on the Valö leg and five on each of the others, weekdays only, Västtrafik. The island is passed through rather than terminated at — every call here is the boat on its way somewhere else.

This is the middle of the Fjällbacka archipelago, a scatter of low granite islands a few kilometres offshore where the outer skerries take the weather and the inner channels stay calm. The four-minute hops are what allow one small vessel to serve a dozen landings in a morning; nowhere is far enough away to justify a second boat.
