About
About Gberigbe
This is one of the few Lagos routes with no Saturday service at all. Five sailings a week each way: out at 06:30, back at 17:30, Monday to Friday, 3.8 nautical miles and 15 minutes across the lagoon to Badore.
Most of the state's water routes run six days, and several run seven. A strict weekday sheet means the boat is carrying one kind of passenger only — people whose week ends on Friday evening.
Badore, on the Lekki side, is one of the terminals Lagos State has invested in most heavily as it tries to move commuters off a road network where a lagoon crossing by car can mean two hours in traffic. Gberigbe is on the Ikorodu shore opposite. Fifteen minutes of water against a morning of asphalt is the entire argument for the route, and the timetable makes no attempt to be anything else.
