Ferries from Florön

Florön has two calls and both are four minutes: Hästvom to the east, Fläskö to the west. Only on the evening return does that change, when the run back to Fläskö is booked at 8.

The morning boat reaches here at 09:03 and the afternoon one at 15:19, with the last movement of the day at 16:52. Fifteen sailings a week on the main leg, five on the evening one, Monday to Friday under Västtrafik.

Four minutes between islands is the ordinary distance in this part of the archipelago — the channels between Florön, Hästvom and Fläskö are narrow enough to shout across in still weather. What the ferry provides is not distance covered but the ability to live on a rock without a bridge, which in Bohuslän has been the arrangement for as long as anyone has kept a boat here.
