Ferries from Dyngö

Dyngö is where the day starts. The 08:46 to Fläskö is the first movement on this circuit, and the island's other call comes in from Hjärterö at 15 minutes — the longest single leg anywhere on the run.

The outbound hop to Fläskö takes 5 minutes; the boat coming back the other way at 17:00 is booked at 11. Same water, more than double the time, because the evening sailing is working its way round the other islands rather than crossing direct.

Fifteen sailings a week on the main leg, five days a week, operated by Västtrafik. Dyngö was a herring station in the great Bohuslän fisheries, when the shoals came inshore and every rock in this archipelago carried salting houses; what is left is a summer settlement with no road, no shop and a timetable that stops at five in the afternoon.
