About

About TPL FVG

TPL FVG is the regional public transport operator of Friuli-Venezia Giulia in north-east Italy, running buses and, in summer, the boat lines of the Marano and Grado lagoon and the Gulf of Trieste. Formed around 2020, it merged the region's four historic provincial transport companies into a single brand.

Lagoon crossings

Its seasonal maritime network threads the northern-Adriatic lagoon, with links such as Marano Lagunare to Lignano and Grado to Aquileia along the historic Litoranea Veneta waterway, plus the year-round Trieste–Muggia gulf line. These boats connect lagoon towns, Roman Aquileia and the beach resorts of Grado and Lignano.

Service and fares

The lagoon lines use small motor-boats (motonavi), several run by associated local operators under the TPL FVG network, mostly from spring through autumn. Fares are in euros within the region's integrated transit ticketing, sold online, at ticket offices and on board.
