Saronic Ferries

Saronic Ferries is a Greek ferry operator serving the islands of the Saronic Gulf, the cluster closest to Athens in Greece. Sailing from the great port of Piraeus, its ro-pax ships carry cars and passengers to the popular day-trip islands just a short hop from the capital.

Saronic Gulf routes

Its network links Piraeus with Aegina, Agistri, Methana and Poros, including the short Aegina to Agistri crossing — barely ten minutes between the two islands — as part of the wider Piraeus–Aegina–Agistri–Methana–Poros service. Aegina is about an hour from Piraeus by conventional ferry, making it one of the busiest island runs in Greece.

Fleet

Saronic Ferries runs a fleet of roll-on/roll-off ferries — the Poseidonas, Phivos, Apollon Hellas, Achaeos and Antigone — carrying cars, motorbikes and foot passengers. The larger ships take well over a thousand passengers and around a hundred vehicles each.

Fares & booking

Fares are in euros and are affordable for these short Saronic crossings, with reduced rates for islanders and vehicles priced by size. Tickets are booked on the operator's website or through agencies at the port.
