Medmar (Medmar Navi) is one of the main car-ferry operators of the Bay of Naples in Italy, founded in Naples in 1969. It carries around 1.8 million passengers and hundreds of thousands of vehicles a year across the gulf.
Pozzuoli and Naples to the islands
Its car ferries link the mainland ports of Pozzuoli and Naples with the volcanic island of Ischia — calling at both Ischia Porto and Casamicciola — and with Procida, the small pastel-coloured island between them. In its earlier decades Medmar ran far wider routes before concentrating on these Bay of Naples crossings.
